Looking to drop land line. What effect if any will this have on my tv and internet with Uverse.
I thought I seen somewhere on here that ATT adds $5 to your account if you do not have regular phone serviece.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
I can't see continuing to pay for cedll phone and land line service each month.
Thanks !

I know that the $5 additional is true (or used to be true anyway) in regard to ADSL but with U-Verse that is not the case. Instead, there is an additional charge (of $10 per month, if memory serves) if there is no TV service. You should be good to go to drop the landline.

Been wanting to do this for a couple of months. Just afraid they will screw something up and I will loose my discounts when thery disconnect the phone. Thanks, I will do this in the next couple of days.

When you call to make the change get as much info about the CSR as you can. If possible get as much of a gaurantee as you can that your discounts won't be lost. They shouldn't be lost since you are adding a service that you don't already have.
