We have had the uverse since feb 2010 and have had problems ever since we got it. Maybe about 6-7 months later they fixed the problems, but that is only because I have been constantly calling them and I have had about enough. I would never get other services from them EVER!!!!. One other thing that erks me is when you call them on the phone and they said something has been done then you find out later that the something they were supposed to do was never done. Take my advice go somewhere else like dish network that is what we are going to do. Is this just me that this happens to or does anyone else have this problem, where you call att on the phone and you can never believe what they tell you because it never happens. FED UP!!!!

Dish network? Hahahaha! They have pulled access to broadcast stations in 27 markets! My local WISH-TV (CBS) was forced to be pulled from Dish network. Right at March Madness. Dish is no saint in fact they trail only Comcast in customer (dis)service.

I had Dish Network for 3 years prior to switching to U-verse in May 2009. I do not miss Dish, and I have not looked back.

I had Dish Network for 10 years. No complaints. I've had UV for not quite 2 years. UV wins.
No koolaid. Just IMHO.

I had Dish Network for 7 years, Direct TV for two, other than weather related issues I had no problems with Dish until I moved to Dallas and there were only 5 HD channels in their HD package, and they weren't locals. I changed to Direct because of HD, but had other customer (dis) service issues with them and multiple service related issues, when I moved, in Oct of 09 I got UVerse. No problems with my service and haven't looked back since.

We have had it 2 days and it beats cable hands down.
Very happy with it.

No service is perfect because it there was one they would have all of the subs. For the most part most of us came from another service provider to Uverse for a variety of reasons. Most were service related. I came mainly because of the price, but I didn't mind leaving behind the loss of signal that I experienced with DTV.
I remember when cable was initially rolled out here in Detroit. It was a disaster but there wasn't anything to compare it to so most people tolerated it. After awhile the service got better. Then DTV and DISH came along. And both of them had issues as well. Now (the last 3+ years) Uverse arrived. It has issues but has several providers to be compared to. It isn't perfect, the techs aren't perfect, and the csrs aren't perfect.
I like Uverse and I have had problems with the service but have always gotten them corrected within hours of calling ts. Not everyone has been that fortunate. Most of us did not have to enter in to contracts with Uverse and so we have the option to drop it whenever we please. If your experience with any service provider has been nothing but bad then you should drop them at once. You are entitled to get your money's worth.
We try to offer help in the form of suggestions, links, and phone numbers, but since we are all subs that is about the limit of our capabilities. Based upon the title of this thread, unless the OP is bound by a contract, it would be kind of surprising if they are still subs. If I didn't like ATT I wouldn't have been a sub for any longer than 30 days. You know, give them a chance to fix issues or at least do something to get me to stay with ATT any longer.

One good thing I can say about U Verse is that the TV, while the UI is a bit clunky, is very reliable. I had Direct TV for around 5 years and recently switched to AT&T due to my family moving and the change in TV was barely noticeable. The internet, however, is an entirely different matter. I've had nothing put problems with it since the move, and before the move my fastest download speed was <350mb/s, though I didn't have many connection problems, after a while at least.

If the problems begin again, call ts and request a tech be sent out. If the issue isn't resolved you can contact David by clicking the hyperlink in my sig. You will be taken to his contact info. Then just follow his instructions.
