My personal U-Verse nightmare

How fitting that I'm using one the brief and infrequent windows of time when my u-verse "service" is actually working to post this.
I had U-Verse installed on May 11th. At best, it's worked for a 12 hour period. Usually, it's an hour or two, then it's down again and I have to call supprot. I have spent nearly every day since installation either on the phone with support, or waiting for a tech to temporarily get it working. I paid a $450 non-refundable "deposit" to have this "service" installed.
I do not have a cell phone, so when U-Verse is down, I have no outside contact. I have to use neighbors' phones to sit on hold with support, answering the same questions over and over, with no resolution.
I'm pretty sure that my house is too far away from the box. A tech told me that, when it's working, I'm using 100% of my line capacity.
AT&T bases their line lengths on Northern, cool dry conditions. Not hot and moist Southern weather.
Direct TV has been calling me like a regretful ex-boyfriend, begging me to give them another try. If I can get every cent blown on this U-Verse nightmare back, Direct TV will be getting me back. Unless, of course, ATT bothers to really fix this mess.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems. If you truly are too far away to receive adequate service there may be nothing that can be done. Can you download and install SomeJoe's tool at the link below?

Once you install the tool, please post screenshots of the following tabs: IP/Profile, Error Table, Bitloading, & Coax/HPNA.
We can take a look at the screenshots to see if there appears that you might be an issue with your system.

Thanks for posting the screenshot. Based on the info in the IP/Profile tab, it does not appear that you are too far from the VRAD to receive service. The info in the Error Table tab does appears to indicate some definite issues with your system.
Since you have been unable to get this resolved by contacting Technical Support, send a PM to Alex who is an AT&T Community Manager on this forum.
