WHAT A MISTAKE JOING AT& T

I am new member of AT&T and I made the big mistake joinINg AT&T and worst of all I agreed to a one-year contract with U-verse. I joined because they promised a good price with great service. The tech came to my house to set up TV, phone, and internet service. After the Tech, left we noticed that the quality of the TV reception was extremely poor. We called customer service they apologized and said that a tech would come out to fix the problem The tech came out and said that in order for us to get a good reception on our TV’s, he would need to rewire the house and that the first tech should of taken care of that. We asked if there was any cost associated with this rewiring and he said that it was part of the package for signing up and that we would have no cost. My husband also called customer service and asked if there was any cost to what the tech was doing and he was told that they appreciated our business and that it was part of the package and that the first tech should have taken care of the problem.
We just got the bill and guess what we were charged over $400.00 dollars for the rewiring and now they are saying that we authorized it. Tried calling corporate and no one answers. This is the worst company ever and I am telling you to stay away, do some researches before you come to AT & T. I do not know what to do...

1. Are you sure that you are under a contract. I'm guessing tht only 5 out of 100 U-Versers are under contract.
2. U-Verse has a 30 day money back guarantee
3. Contact David in this thread, he will (and has in the past) help you get in touch with the correct folk.
4. If you called corporate, someone should have answered. What # did you try?
5. Something is odd here.
6. I would be disgusted and discusted, LOL.

For about a year, most new customers have the option of entering into a 12 month commitment (i.e. contract) for special promotional pricing.

I suggest calling to talk to another csr and let them know you were told you wouldn't be charged for the rewire. Call until you get a csr who is willing to reverse the charge. IMO. It has helped with other subs in the past.

No I didn't know. Before and since I became a subscriber everything the csr told me about the service, my costs, and how my installation would go. When I needed service calls techs came out in less than an hour and got all of my services up and running. When the price increases hit, I was told how much my costs would be and they are exactly that.
It is unfortunate that you talked to csrs that either misinformed you (whether intentionally or not I don't know) or were just uninformed about ATT goods and services. Both are possible. If you are interested you can contact David or call cs again. But as for my experience with ATT, there haven't been any lies up to now.
