I called and signed up for an AT&T U-Verse appointment a few weeks ago. The guy on the phone barely knew what he was talking about and told me he would schedule an appointment for me on a certain date and time, but when I got the email confirmation, it was for an entirely separate date and time. I decided to try to keep the appointment I didn't agree to, and when the time came that I realized I wouldn't be at home during the scheduled time, I literally spent an hour on the phone talking to not one but FOUR incompetent representatives who couldn't even handle rescheduling the appointment and just kept blind transferring me to someone else. I ended up just telling them they're severly unorganized and hanging up. WHAT A WASTE OF MY VALUABLE TIME! When I finally got the appointment rescheduled, I was told my service was active and I was being billed even though I HAD NO SERVICE!!!!! Finally when a tech actually showed up for the rescheduled appointment, it turned out I couldn't even get the service despite being told I could. The tech told me he would report that and I wouldn't get a bill. NOW I HAVE A BILL FOR ~$150 AND NO SERVICE. YOUR COMPANY IS THE BIGGEST WASTE OF MY TIME I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED CUSTOMER SERVICE ANYWHERE NEAR THIS HORRIBLE. SERIOUSLY, YOUR COMPANY IS INFERIOR.
This is all negating my other issue of being misinformed about an installation fee. I spent hours on the phone arguing about this prior to anyone coming to my house. I would not have spent the time registering for your stupid forum had I not dealt with so much t
I don't need any response. I just want the world to know that, well AT&T, you seriously, truly, honestly. 100% SUCK!

P.S. I will do everything within my power to ensure that every single person I know realizes how much your company sucks the life out of its potential (and most likely actual) customers. You brag about having a big network, but your customer service is so disgustingly poor. I hate you people so, so much.

Final FYI: I am a programmer/Web developer and I am creating a forum on its own ATT[something] domain name that doesn't have your content filters so people can say how they truly feel about your company without being censored. I will take joy in this every single day. I hope I am able to convince many, many people not to buy your inferior service, and your company burns to the ground.

I know what your intentions are but if you would like to get some of your issues resolved you can send Alex a PM he is an ATT Community Manager on this forum. He can get you to the right person/dept. to get your issue resolved.

I have never felt so hostile toward any other company in my entire life. I barely even raise my voice when I have issues with any other company, and thus far I have barely raised my voice with AT&T. I just don't care any more. Being polite and cordial is worthless if I am just over and over again by these inferior people.

It does seem like a hassle to have to call in and be transferred four times just to reschedule. Maybe the OP is one of those customers who calls sales to reschedule a dispatch instead of technical support... If you feel like you're not getting the attention you need, ask them to transfer you to tier two. If you're being billed and have no service as of yet, that's an easy credit back. Just bear in mind, ATT starts charging at the initial install date, not when you actually have the service.
Anyway, seems like a very easy fix, but you don't want help.

(2) Your amazingly incompetent company sent me ANOTHER bill even though I was able to call customer service last month and get the situation "rectified." It was made as clear as humanly possible that I don't have service, and I was told my account balance would be zeroed out and not to worry about it. YOU PEOPLE ARE AMAZINGLY INFERIOR. At least this time I am not surprised. I hate you so, so much.

I'm willing to bet that I'll have to waste another hour of my time on the phone with some entry-level warm body and have the same conversation I've had repeatedly at this point. Seriously AT&T, you should be paying me for my time spent dealing with your incompetence. You suck so, so, SOOOOOOO much.

Lastly, for a global communications company, your customer service hours are absolute {word filter evasion}Hence the reason I signed up for this forum; at least here I can pass my message along after 6PM. It almost seems like a proactive decision so you don't have to deal with your customers at hours that suit the probable majority of them. UGGGGGHHHHHH...!!!...!!!...!!!...

Thanks for the laugh people. I have never put this much effort (or anywhere close) forth to communicate to a company just how dissatisfied I am with the service provided. Think what you want; I really couldn't care any less. As long as AT&T realizes the magnitude of my distaste for them, my objective here is fulfilled.

I don't think that he cares. And that is okay, ranting is good. His therapist said that crayons weren't working and venting on a consumer to consumer forum was his next best shot at help and closure.
