I've been with ATT less than 2 months and have had nothing but problems with TV -uverse connects.
Now there is two different messages, client unprovisioned and client disabled.
I work until midnight and there is never anyone to help when I have problems.
Any suggestions?? aside from going back to cable?? though at least charter has 24/7 people to talk to.

Don't know where exactly to post this but here goes:
AT&T What a joke!
Had the landline service disconnected a few years back because of poor service. Decided to try there Uverse internet this past week, well believe me they haven't changed. After they broke there first appointment without any notification they finally came out during the week and installed the modem in the house. It work absolutely flawless for the first two days, the fastest internet I have ever used. Then it quit. Called AT$T. They sent a guy out with a new modem it still wouldn't work. Sent a guy out to check the outside lines, was told the signal is to weak. Called aT&T that evening and they said they had the line fixed and would send someone out the next day to set the modem up again. They came out and said the modem was OK but the line between the house and corner box was bad. Sent the lineman back out and he seemed to have an attitude because someone else had found the problem and he tried to give me the story that the signal was just to week and it wasn't going to work, if it was to weak how the heck did it work for two days straight? Never even bothered to run a temporary line between the house and box to make sure. I don't know about you but I have enough brains to know that something is not going to work flawless for two days and then just up and quit and not work at all. I then called AT&T and they informed me after being on the phone for over an hour again that the area I live in has been disqualified. What a bunch of bull.
So AT&T you suck and will never be allowed on my property again and as soon as my iphone contract expires next month guess what I will be going to Verizon. I know this will most likely get flagged and taken down by one you clowns that work for AT&T, just remember word of mouth and the internet is a powerful thing.

Just had UVerse internet installed in a two person-three computer law office. The first time they came to install UVerse, they found out that our building was not properly "paired" for three separate units. About a week later, they came out again and installed UVerse in our office suite. Unfortunately, they knocked out the DSL to the front office suite. [Per Guidelines: Keep it Relevant and Appropriate]. They told me the tenants up front would have to call in a work order on their DSL. When they tried to call in the order, they were told that they no long have a DSL account and would have to buy UVerse. They could not give them DSL. Meanwhile, they hooked the front office up to our service so they could function.
They decided to switch to UVerse. Three days later UVerse came back and installed in the front office. Our network printers were not working... IP addresses had been changed and not corrected on our computers... Then, the big problem raised it's ugly head... I scan everything that comes into this office... my scanner wouldn't send scanned documents via email... I had to call an IT guy for the scanner/printer... now he tells me that the scanner/copier/printer/fax that we have does not support the new SSL that UVerse uses... so our only option is to buy a new multi-function machine to the tune of $6000.00!
I think that when ATT pitches UVerse to a business, they should send someone out to do an analysis of their setup, looking at all of the equipment that they have and give them an HONEST evaluation of what the ramifications of switching will be. At the very least, they need to inform them that they need to have their IT person there during the installation or right afterwards so that everything can be reconfigured to work properly... (since the installers tell you that they can't touch any of your computers, etc!)
Alas, I think there is one more option... we may have to switch to Comcast for phones and internet and be done once and for all with AT&T.
I do however, appreciate a place to vent! Thanks.

As far as your All-in-one printer. If it's a network printer and you scan all incoming documents, they must be getting stored on a computer in the office. Just send the email from the computer (which is capable of SSL).

Unfortunately, my all in one is about ten years old and doesn't support folders.

Well, I guess you could lease one. That way you would not have to shell out 6 grand. If it breaks, they fix it. Plus it should be deductible as a business expense.

My point is that they should tell you these things before you switch and can't switch back to DSL! Had I known these things, I would not have made the change.

Well, I guess the point would actually be, if you didn't know it was going to be a problem, how could AT&T warn you about it.
Technically DSL has been using SSL for quite some time. If the printer can only use port 25 for outgoing email, you can request that the port be opened, as AT&T normally has it blocked.
So, if I understand this correctly, your printer can either print a scan or email a scan but it cannot save a scan?
Maybe there's a firmware update for your printer that addresses the email issue. What manufacturer/model is it.

The model is Lanier LD045. It emails scans.
Who would I contact about "opening up the port"?

I tried your link and it was very helpful right up until the point where I tried to direct the scans to go to a folder. As I mentioned earlier, this model all in one only allows scans to go as emails, won't scan to a folder.
But you did mention trying to get AT&T to enable port 25. Any ideas how I go about that?
