The last couple days, I get logged out of the forum if I walk away for more than 15-30 minutes and have to keep logging in, even though I check the "Remember Me" check box when I log in.

Happens all the time on my phone, and it can't remember my password either! No problems with Firefox or IE on computers.

I was having the exact same problem CJ was towards the beginning of the month. But was in CA on a secure wireless connection/server and thought that's why I couldn't stay logged in. It fixed itself within a couple days so it must have had something amiss on the forum itself.

I get logged out when I purge my cookies, other than that, no PC issue.
Yes, I do get logged out of the mobile page. But click Login, click okay, and I'm logged in.

It's getting very annoying with the phone! Saves my username, but not password; I've cleared cache & cookies, makes no diff.!
I have Remember checked, but it just doesn't work like it used to.

Ok, so now it happens all the time. If I walk away from the computer for more than fifteen minutes the site logs me out. I'm not purging cookies, my computer is not going to sleep, not minimizing IE, not even going to another tab, and I'm not losing my internet connection. I check the "Remember Me" box every time I have to log back in. ![]()

Bummer CJ that you keep getting logged out all the time. You would think the forum staff would work with you directly to figure out what the problem is. Or at least have the forum tech team look at the problem.
Yeah Spd, maybe when I was out in CA and kept getting logged out for some reason the forum server/settings couldn't recognize me anymore. It doesn't make sense since I was on the same machine, with the same exact settings, I use at home. Only the server was different. I can tell immediately when I'm not logged in since the print is smaller because SJ's Greasemonkey program isn't kicking in.

Yeah, it's odd, and mine only happens on the cell. Home computers are fine even when away from home. Weird and annoying! ![]()

Hi Everyone,
First let me apologize for not following up on this sooner.
Is anyone still experiencing the issue of being logged out prematurely? If so, would you be kind enough to provide the following information:
Are you logging in from a computer or a mobile device?
If logging in from your computer:
- Which browser is involved?
- Any 'blocking' plugins or add-ons?
- Do you check the “Remember Me” box?
- Are you allowing cookies?
- How often do you clear your browser cache/cookies?
If logging in from a mobile device:
- Please identify device.
- Which mobile browser?
- Any other pertinent data.
With this information we'll attempt to reproduce your issue and develop a fix if required.
Remember to always mark posts that resolved your issue with Accept as Solution. You can even mark multiple posts in a single thread.
This will help other users find this information too!
Use the Kudos Button to offer a thumbs-up for good content and a pat on the back to its author.

Thanks Phil! Just to add to what was contributed, we do have a security feature in place that will logout users for inactivity after certain period of time. This is in place to protect users and the Community. If your experience is beyond what I described, please help us by providing the information requested by Phil.
Regards,
Alex

Hey Alex,
XPSP3/IE8 on laptop that is not mobile, wireless connection that is not dropping. 6Mbps DSL.
Cache and cookies enabled, cleared only when shutting down IE (which only happens about once a month).
Norton AntiVirus and Spybot Search&Destroy
Logoff does not seem to be time based, I can leave it over night and still be logged in (4 - 5 hours), or I can walk away for fifteen mninutes and come back and be looged out. There's no pattern.

Mine only happens on the iPhone; maybe time to trade up!! ![]()
I've cleared cookies & cache, shut down, restarted; always have Remember Me checked. When I go to read, username is there, a password is there, but it's my old one. Laptop/desktop working as they should.
Happens on 4G or WiFi, home or away, makes no difference.
Sent to YOU from a Windows laptop!

Well let them know that their timer is broken. I can see getting logged out after maybe a couple days or even 2 weeks (like all the other AT&T/Yahoo sites), but there seems to be no discernable pattern.
I guess you gotta have tight security, wouldn't want some stranger jumping on your computer and falsely posting solutions to Uverse problems. think of the havoc that would wreak.![]()

I'm thoroughly convinced the Lithium servers have alzheimers. They can't keep track of time, and no matter how many times I tell them to "Remember Me", they always forget.![]()

Could be the way your mobile browser is set. Often browsers on phones will have a forced cache reset to save memory (since they're not as powerful as your computer yet).

Any further advice, I'd sure appreciate it.
What appears to not be working as of late is Remember Me. Computers still work fine, it's just the phone.
