Hello everyone,
My install is scheduled for Monday (9/29). I'm in a "newer" apartment in Ann Arbor. I was wondering if there was anything I needed to know or do before the install. I'm pretty sure that they will have to use the existing coax.
Thanks in advance,
- Jason

Yep...plan on getting to know your tech well, often it's a 4 to 8 hour installation.
Other than that...it's all pretty good. I just rebooted my DVR the other day, got my 2nd HD Stream, finally.
It's great service, has it's ups and downs...but for the price and the HD available, I'm not complaining, I'm happy.

So far, my install isn't going that well. I swear that the VRAD is maybe 100 yards from my apartment, but the tech is saying that my line may be too long. I'm not sure how that is possible unless the line takes a very strange path. They've called a line guy to check it out, so we are just waiting.
I'll keep everyone posted.
I did a stupid move and canceled comcast too early. I should have waited until I goet Uverse hooked up first.
Keep your fingers crossed that the line guy says that everything is ok, or can switch me to a shorter line.

SUCCESS!!! The I&R guy found that the pedistal that my line connected to was in bad shape. He was able to bypass it (somehow), and now everything is working great.
So far HD looks great. Speeds are fine. The only issue I'm having is, the guide isn't displaying on the DVR, but it works on the other two TV's.
Any ideas?

I'm in East Lansing, and I just had my u-verse installed this weekend, and do far so good. I only have two complaints...
I guess I am about 3,000 feet from the VRAD, and can only get the 19Mb profile (1HD, 3SD streams). No one told me about that when I asked if u-verse was available for my address. I guess I have to wait for pair-bomding to see if I can get up to the 25Mb profile...
My second issue, is that u-verse in EL doesn't carry the CW network. This is broadcast on 53.2 here (sub-channel of ABC 53). Seems like a number of people in other areas are having similar issues...
Anyone else in the East Lansing/Lansing area know anything about when or if we are going to get CW?
