Someone changed my username without my permission

I'm not ranting just making a catchy subject line.

But seriously, my forum username was changed from "pb" to "pb_2" without ever notifying me. It wasn't until I had to reset my password (because I couldn't login under "pb") that I realized it was changed.

Anyone ever have this happen to them? If so, is there a reason why? AT&T employee wanted my original username? Sup?

Hi Mike,

I don't see any indication that anyone manually changed your username.  However, I do see a much older, inactive account that had been using the name pb.

As jfw mentioned,  send me a private message and we'll see if we can get this resolved for you.

To send a private message, you can either click on the link in this message or click on the blue envelope  in the upper right hand corner, click "compose new message" and type my username in the "Send To" field.

If you notice his signon date of 1-30-2009 with a few posts in 2009 then no posts until 5-30 & 5-31-2010. Then the last post was 4-29-2011 until the post on the 12-16-2011.  My guess is he got caught in the merger with the wireless and that generated the pb_2 change like oz became oz_1.

That certainly makes sense and is most likely what occurred.
