Lumia 900, No Nokia Apps.....

So I recieved my Lumia 900 that I pre order today. After activating and using it for the day I noticed that it does not have the Nokia Maps or Nokia Drive installed. I did some searching onlione and located the links for the windows marketplace and tried to download them maually, well it says they are not supported by this device. What gives? Is this AT&T blocking them to use their AT&T alternative????

I don't know. Aaron from phonedog.com had an AT&T Nokia Lumia 900 review unit. In his review, he shows the Nokia Maps (certain) and Nokia Drive (I think) apps on the Lumia. He makes special mention that he had to go to the Windows Marketplace to download them, and that they didn't come on the phone out of the box.

You mentioned links. Did you go to the Marketplace and check the Nokia apps section? Also, I think that you have to sign into the device with a Windows Live ID in order to download apps. Did you do this?

none of the options are working, i cant find the nokia apps anywhere... they seem to be blocked.. how to get an answer from att on this?

Well I figured out the problem. My phone would not even show the Nokia Collections in the marketplace. I had to go to the about screen in the settings menu and reset the phone from there. After it rebooted and I set it up again I was able to access the Nokia collections menu and download them both.

They may not be ported to windows yet. See if you can find an equivalent or wait. Windows has not had time to develop the number of apps android and apple have, but they will catch up.

I had this problen at first, after messing with the phone for a while I connected it to my Wi-Fi network and they showed up right away.

I think there was an article on this previously that Nokia's apps would not be included on the device, but the apps themselves could be downloaded from the marketplace.

I had this "issue" on my Samsung Focus where it didn't come with the Samsung apps, but I could download it from the marketplace.

Nokia Drive and Music have been out for a while now. I actually loaded them on my HTC HD7 as it was unlocked. Drive is a nice clean navigation app.
