My wife and I both had Blackberry's. I recently upgraded to the Lumia 900. In our home, my wife's BB gets full 3G signal and my Lumia is lucky to have 2 bars of E! What's up with that. I thought the Lumia was supposed to have better signal capabilities..

It is possible that they are both receiving the signal at the very same level. The "bars" are set by the manufacturer on what triggers how many bars. On a scale of 0 to 100 where 0 is no signal and 100 is perfect signal, Blackberry may choose to use 67 as 3 bars where Nokia chooses 75 for 3 bars. If both phones are receiving 70, the blackberry will show 3, the Nokia will show 2 but they are both getting 70. I wouldn't worry about it. Also, Nokia has been in the business for a very, VERY long time and have always had excellent radios.
But welcome to the Windows Phone party. You're going to love it.

Makes sense to me. I did have some signal issues with my Torch and was looking forward to some better connections. Thanks for the info. Also for the welcome.
