ROTFL! oky, so thisi s pretty interesting....haha. ill tell my story, and you can take whatever you want from it.

                   I got the phone for christmas, and it was everything ive ever dreamed about...for about a week. haha. Then i got to about febrary, and it broke. i called up whatever line youre supposed to, and then sent me a new one...YAY!!! -- Right? not quite. about oh, a week ago, it started typing random numbers and letters when you left it alone, or whatever...youd try to type, and it would just do whatever it wanted. and so, i called again, and they sent me another one.

       today, about oh, 3 hours ago, my touchscreen decided to die...and so i called.....again. and they said, "well you have to get a new phone...not the quickfire." and so im getting the Xenon. We'll see how that works out.

ok.so i bought my quickfire online not through at&t. therefore i have no warranty. however i am not at all happy with the "kinda recall" (as my local store calls  it). My phone has recently died. i thought it was in the charger- bought a new one & nope. still doesn't work. can i get the exchange?

i got my quickfire in december of 08 and i just recently started to have problems with it. i spoke to someone today and they said they can only send me a refurb quickfire because they were able to fix the problems so they stopped exchanging them for the matrix, propel or vu. im kinda upset about it because whos to say that the refurb phone isnt going to mess up as well?

so in november of last year my brother and i purchased the quickfire and received it as an early christmas gift. who would have thought id be needing a new phone by christmas.... I have gone to the store complaining called the warranty place multiple times and always received the same answer." theres nothing we can do" and not only did I get 4 replacements of only the quickfire but I had to pay 50 dollars each time. to me in all honesty the quickfire is by far the worst phone

I travelled to see family this Thanksgiving weekend, and realized I had forgotten my phone charger at home. Since I was going to be there for four days, I didn't want to be without, so I went to four different AT&T stores, none of them had the Quickfire, or any accessories for it. The last store I went to told me that NONE of the AT&T stores are selling the Quickfire, and she told me that the phone had been recalled, and I needed to call the warrant department 800-801-1101 to get a replacement for my phone due to the fire hazard. I did get a letter and a new charger in the spring regarding the phone charger cord, so I thought the issue was resolved. The problem is for me, that none of the stores sell replacement parts, so if I need something for this phone, like a charger, I'm SOL...or taking my chances buying something off of eBay or whatever. I called the warranty number, the person I spoke to said that the phone was never recalled, and that the cord was the only issue with the phone. He told me that they are making the Quickfire and all they would do is replace it with another Quickfire.... and they won't do anything for me unless I'm having a problem. So I said to him, "So, I need to wait for this phone to spark and start my house on fire before I call for a new phone?" and he reiterated the phone is "safe" and they are producing them again. I asked him why not a single store I went to, in the city of Chicago, had the phones, and not a single accessory, and why I was told that I wouldn't be able to buy anything for the phone because it had been 'recalled.' and he said the stores were mistaken. Sorry, but I'm not buying it. I hardly use my phone, so I haven't noticed any of the problems others on here have experienced. Although sometimes my screen doesn't recognize I've touched it, or it will freeze requiring me to restart the phone... but still. I guess I'm stuck with this thing until I can get a new phone, because I for sure don't want another Quickfire to replace this one if they all have these issues.
