Tango for Samsung Focus

Hi, Can anyone from ATT tell me when the Tango update is expected to be released?

yes, as long as it is taking #theNODOnetwork to get 8107 out to its customers we better start asking for Tango (aka Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh) now.  probably should have started a few months ago so that hopefully we get it this year w/o having to hack.

Tango drops in China on March 21st and in the states, its going to be the beginning of April. (from what Ive read up on) If AT&T is holding back the 7740 and 8107 updates from us because they are waiting for Tango(which includes those), Im fairly confident that we should receive it promptly in April. Or i should say...I HOPE!

It is rumored that Microsoft is trying to avoid what happened with the mango update so they are trying to get all of the carriers in the world to release tango at the same time sometime in june.

Tango has apparently started it's global roll-out although reports of people actually getting the update seem to be very sparse.

I have 2 Samsung Focus S phones. They both plug in to sync music with Zune regularly.  One has been updated now but the other shows no updates.  Wierd since they are on the same account. 

Started the day on 7.10.7720

updated to .7740

then 8107.79

then 8112.7

then 8773.98

plus a Samsung update

Firmware 2103.12.05.2

Radio Software Version 2103.12.5.2

Bootloader 6.5.16.0

I didnt mention the lines that did not change.

I am guessing the 7.8 update will be the 8779 version I keep seeing popup on WP Bench.  Cant wait!

I have just spoke with AT&T who in turn called Samsung support.  Samsung said that the Tango update that was released on 6/27/2012 is only for Samsung Focus S and Samsung Focus Flash.  There is no Tango for the first generation Samsung Focus.

Since we're talking about AT&T, I have to say I don't believe them. They also told us that every other update was coming and never did.

However, it is JUST like AT&T to not support 1st gen devices when EVERY OTHER CARRIER kept up with updates and released them promptly.  None of them dropped support after 12 months.

Since I know AT&T reps read this - YOU GUYS SUCK.
