Can you please help me with the unlock code of my ipaq. Here are the details:

Network and Country: AT&T, USA

......Unfortunately HP doesn’t want to help on this, neither AT&T which is the carrier for these Phones, you call HP and they send you to AT&T and vice versa).......

This is what my reseller got and you wonder, its like you buy a car radio with a code and neither the car manufacturer nor the radio manufacturer want to give you the code yet they accepted the money and this phone doesnt come cheap!!

Hello. I called AT&T and the said the didn´t find my IMEI Number and that I have to contact HP directly. I just contacted HP from Colombia. I gave them the serial number of my HP Glisten (IMEI begins with 0044) and they told me this Glisten is a Test Product and it is not available for sale. So they can´t give any unlocking code.

So .... I have a real nice and expensive HP Paperweight.

Any of you have any idea to solve this??? :.. THanks,

I live out of the US and there is no possibility of calling AT&T directly. Could you please tell me what do you need to contact AT&T by yourself and make the necessary negotiations to unlock my phone?

I bought it at Ebay, the item is new but is locked.

I am diverstated now.................. Honestlh are there such inhuman manufacturers - why dont they recall the device if they are not willing to help. There is no prjudice to AT&T cause most of us do not have AT&T in our countries.

@wencky Yes I emailed them and they had indicated I should use any Samsung by AT&T since they use the code and not the brand. Unfortunately they didnt find the code.

I am using a 3rd party person with a  Credit card so it will be upon her on violation to continue assisting me. I have 2 more sites that I need to try depending on the person assisting me but anyone interested may try as well, the cheapest at USD22.00 they said they have the code and a refund if they fail. Its http://myunlockcode.com. Another one @  $ 43.09 is http://www.mobile-unlocker.com.

Yes I had emailed them and had said you need to pick any Samsung model from At&T as they use the code not the model but still they could not get the code.

I also bumped into 2 more sites which people may also try as I am waiting for the person assisting me with credit payment to confirm refund. The 1st one said they have the code its http://myunlockcode.com @$22.00 and the 2nd one I havent emailed them is on the upper side @ $43.00 is http://www.mobile-unlocker.com.

I'm not sure that any of these unlock sites be very reliable, If most important websites can not unlock the HP Ipaq Glisten I honestly have doubts about these ones.

At the first one there is no contact information neither any information about how to reclaim money in case of unlock fail.

I wish you best luck unlocking your Ipaq. Mine is one of those pre-production models. Its IMEI starts with 044... but the phone is totally new so I'll continue trying to unlock it because I'm really interested on using it.

The box, manual and the rest is all marked with the AT&T logos so I don't know why AT&T don't provide information about how to unlock it. I read on the forum that another models -not considered pre-preproduction ones- were not unlocked and AT&T claimed that there is no unlock code for these ones as well.

I'll try using some of these Simcard Unlockers announced at Ebay even when HP Ipaq Glisten is not described as one of the models that can be unlocked (I had bought three different models)

Hi!

I'm using a pair of unlocking/turbo cards bough at Ebay. There are problems when 3G is activated (there's no possibility of receiving calls). Without 3G activated, the unlock cards work, but sometimes signal is lost when travelling and it's necessary to put the simcard into another phone (without the turbo card) to recover conectivity.

So this is not a full valid solution
