Will ATT ever release any updates for the Surround?

I mean my OS is on 7.10.7720.68 and I want the fix for the keyboard! It get's annoying when you are typing something and it disappears and then you have to exit out of the app and go back in it to finish typing.

Buddy, you and I have a better chance of looking outside and seeing a unicorn than at&t pushing an update to any windows phone.

While EVERY OTHER CARIER has released updates to all Gen 1 devices, AT&T has a history of abandoning support whenever possible. Because of that, I manually pushed all updates to my Surround. The phone is still a great device and works great with the latest OS - which I why I assume they won't push any more updates to it. There's no reason to upgrade your phone if your old one is current and works great.

The only way I've heard of manually updating a surround is pushing the cab files to it.

I called 611 support and talked to a tech who actually at least took the time to look into the update. First they told me do download Mango after spending 10 minutes explaining that I have already had Mango since last year and that Tango is a post mango update I was finally able to get the tech to go to WPCentral.com and look at a few of the Tango articals She then spent almost an hour "looking into it" then eventually came back and said they had no idea abou the update.

All I want is my keyboard to just stop dissapearing.

I was also getting very annoyed by the disappearing keyboard on my HTC Titan. Sometimes the keyboard would vanish 4 times before I could type a single letter, so about 2 months ago, I searched for and found instructions for how to update my phone to software build 8107, which fixed the keyboard issue. They have since added instructions and files to update to Tango (build 8773).
