Does anyone have any information on the new WM 6.5? I've seen a few articles on it but they usually talk about phones with touch screens. I'm wondering if I'll be able to upgrade my BJ ll to it.

Sadly, all the forums and sites that I have been reading about WM6.5, there will be no updates available for any of the current phones on the market. If you want WM6.5, then you have to buy a new handset in fourth quarter of 09.

What will this OS upgrade offer over the 6.1 version???
as previously stated, theres no word of wm6.5 even being available as an upgrade to existing devices once it hits. reports of 6.5 are spotty at best..

I wouldn't even count on it being much of an improvement on the last one. Microsoft can't even get it together to provide basic functionality like the option to sync multiple Outlook calendars to your device. Given that most people use Windows Mobile for work/business and given that huge numbers of us use more than one calendar (I have a personal calendar, a work calendar and a schedule calendar for each of my employees) it's simply incredible that they have refused to implement it for so long. So although I pray that finally they'll see sense for 6.5, I'm not holding my breath.
I believe you will see it eventually. WM has been using OMA to connect to Exchange (similar to OWA - outlook web access). However, when you connect using active sync you are not enrolled on the domain and server cannot apply all the group policies, permissions, active direcotry, etc. that you would normally receive when you log into the domain at work from your computer. You will notice however, that all the new WM phones have a domain enrollment option. You need to have Microsoft System Mobile Manager in order to get all the above... check out this video form Microsfot http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/b/a/4bad1

I just upgraded to the Samsung Jack and the box says it is ready for the 6.5 update. So I don't know if that means when the update is ready they will give us the link for it?
Try this On the Home screen, select Start ➔ More ➔ More ➔ Settings ➔ More... ➔ More... ➔ About and press the key. Check the version of your phone.

...and in typical corporate, we don't care about our real users, fashion... this upgrade cannot be run by anyone who has upgraded their system to Windows 7 64bit.

Have you tried using Windows XP mode? http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/defaul
It runs a 32-bit version of XP in a virtual machine even if you are running Windows 7 x64, and you can still connect to USB ports, etc.

Yes, you can. Make sure you launch it using Administator mode (applies to both VIsta and Win7).
