as i said before, v9x was announced today

i think all we v9 user shold complain att so they will probaby release software update for our v9

this v9x has all the missing features that were in euro and asian v9

if we enough people complain then they might release update for our Razr2 v9

You can complain all you want, but it's not something a software update will enable. The phone needs additional hardware for GPS.

i only want outer screen features like viewing pictures and video from outer screen.
i am on live chat with att support team and the cust rep told me abt v9 6.1 update
but she said she doesnt have any detailed abt this!

it's nice! I don't think the color is hideous (I have the Z9 lol)

but I thought the GPS was built in hardware, not software. Otherwise you would buy a GPS bluetooth receiver.

I wonder if they changed the keypad on it, the material they make the keypad out of .

I dont like the plastic one on the V9, but ive seen other versions from other companies and they have a feeling of similar feel to the v3xx and original razr(v3)

Id buy an unlocked one, but I cant get the interenet to work properly on it and I need the internet.

Well now that the new iPhone has come out perhaps AT&T will do something for those of us who don't want the iPhone.

I keep looking online daily, everywhere, for any hint of when the V9x will be out and cant find any info other then Q3 release of this year.

Com'on AT&T, release the BLACK V9x !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i really think they should release something interestin and new , these available phones have been out for such a long time already.... and specially in Pr ... we didnt even get the iphone... come on at&t... i believe ... im not the only one bored here.....

I believe it's supposed to be released in "Q3 2008" aka late September or October... but all the articles I've read about it say that a "full annoucement" is expected soon, and they were written over a month ago.

Got mine today & really like it. I've had a v9m (cdma) for almost a year & upgraded v3xx today. I waited until the x series came out because I like having the option of the gps & trying it for one month. I can already tell you it won't replace my Garmin! The size of the screen, having to hold it or buy a bracket & the lack of voice on the phone plus depletion of battery makes it "i can live without it" deal. Everything else is nice, very nice. If I wanted a smart phone I'd go BlackBerry. I use a phone as it was orginally intended. Call & receive calls. I live in a rural area & need good reception, good volume & good voice sound. Makes it a hands down winner for me.
