FAN discount and not accepting my number

I've gone through the authentication process for adding my family plan to the FAN discount associated with my university. I've enrolled my number and email to the system but it will not accept my number when I go back to activate my discount. I have all my verification emails and of the like, but when it is all set and done I still cannot activate my FAN discount. Nothing frustrates me more than AT&T service.

Visit a corporate store with a recent paystub within the past 60 days or a company badger with your name and photo on it. The store can add it directly to your account.
