Like others here, I had two subscriptions added to my bill without my consent. I called ATT customer service, and they removed the charges, but I think the problem is much bigger than my charges. I was able to show via my phone bill that two texts were received from these companies, but I did not respond. No text messages were returned. I asked for contact information for these companies, and was told that ATT did not have any. This is the part I can't believe. Since the charges show up on my ATT Bill, ATT must have to send that money somewhere. Why can't they either give me the contact info, or remove these companies from their list of people to pay?
This is theft, plain and simple, and ATT does not appear to be concerned about it. There should be procedures in place to handle/prosecute this theft.
Like many of you, I was told just to put a purchase blocker on my phone. That will work for me, but that means there are thousands of ATT subscribers out there that are potentially being fraudently billed. The customers are only being serviced when they find the charges, which could take a long time.
Come on ATT. Be proactive and fix the problem before it happens.

Hey jmelchio, I'm with you. These are pure thieves, and I cannot understand why AT&T allows them to continue. I called last month, and the charges were removed. I also asked how to block them, and the CSR supposedly put a password requirement on any "subscriptions". I was assured that would prevent any future unwanted charges, but sure enough, I just received my new bill, and there they are again:
Stress Tip Alerts from DottedLineMedia $9.99
and
WeightlossAlerts from DottedLineMedia $9.99
As you say, jmelchio, this is theft. I went to the FCC online to see where to file a complaint, but the FCC site is in "transition", and my attempts just put me in a loop, and I gave up. Tomorrow I call again, and ATT will dutifully remove the charge, just like last month, and I appreciate that at least, but what happened to the block? Do I have to turn off text messages completely to stop this? And you ask me to turn on autopay?

I did a quick search and found others compalining about this company on other carriers. One site reports their address in what looks like England. I believe the FCC requires the carriers to allow these folks to do this and the carriers cannot stop it without a request to add the purchase blocker.
