I am writing because I would like to file a formal complaint with corporate ATT. I have been with ATT for nearly 10 years. I have been a loyal customer who has always paid my bills on time. I have been grandfathered into the unlimited data plan for the iPhone. I am going through a divorce and need to switch my line of service from my husband's to my fathers account who has also been a loyal ATT customer for over 10 years. I was told that if I transferred the line over to my father's account that I would have to forfeit my unlimited data plan which I think is ridiculous. I have always loved ATT and been a loyal customer but if I cannot keep my unlimited Data plan for the iPhone I will terminate my contract and move to Sprint or Verizon. I have always planned on staying with AT&T for life because of my unlimited data plan. I hope that AT&T truly values customer service as your commercials claim and that I will be contacted shortly in regards to being able to transfer my service and keep my current data plan. I hope that I do not have to find another phone company. I would welcome a prompt reply.

Verizon no longer provides unlimited data either. Other users that use Sprint say that their speeds are so bad that unlimited doesn't really matter.
Go where you can get the best deal and service for the money.

I got your private message regarding this concern and responded.
kfederer is correct in that unlimited plans are no longer offered. I hope we'll be able to find an option that works for you. Please take a look at the private message I sent.

I lost my unlimited data plan when I switched from Blackberry to Android. I have been under the impression that was due to the fact I switched phone "type." I had thought this to be unfair, discussed with many associates/friends/ etc, but it seemed as if I was the only one that had done this type of switch, so needless to say I have been with a different data plan ever since. Now I see the old unlimited plan COULD HAVE been transferred to my android phone with no problem. Is there any way it may be restored retroactively?
