Currently, I have only a voice plan. I'm considering upgrading to a smartphone and adding data and messaging to the voice plan. If I upgrade, are these fees based only on the voice plan, or are based on the total of all the plans?
Thanks!

Taxes are based on the total cost of the bill, federal, state, local and recovery fees cna be based on what services and features are involved, each state has their own requirements. You can see what these charges maybe by going here and plugging in your zip code

Thank you wingrider, for your quick response. I have looked through some of the messages on this forum relating to this question, but I didn't recall seeing the taxes based on the total cost of the bill. Or if it was mentioned, then my brain automatically skipped over that part while reading! ;-)
I appreciate your reply. Have a good weekend,

I appreciate your reply. Have a good weekend,
state and local taxes are always based on the total amount spent - same as in retail
