Anyone Else Get an Odd PM? [ Edited ]

I just opened my mailbox and read the oddest private message by far in my 2+ years, here. The message stated,

Sent: 8:55 AM
Hi Dear
Peace be unto you,my name is Miss lilian desmond,
how are you today.I do hope that you are fine.
iam looking for friends around the world,
Please send me an email soon at my mail box thus for more details
and to equally send you my picture (xxxxx @yahoo.com)

Are these NEW ones other than when the OP posted this message? You can also just ignore or block the person sending them.

I have received messages like that and they turn out to be nothing but junk.  Just ignore and delete them.
