InPhonic listed assets of $120.9 million and debt of $179.4 million in Chapter 11 documents filed yesterday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Del.

With a bankruptcy filing I'm betting on it won't be coming.

If you want a new phone and the one you want is too expensive for you to afford, look for a cheaper phone or start saving up some money, it's just a phone.

This type of stuff is why I always try to deal with only reputable companies like actual ATT stores or amazon, etc.Actually, Amazon.com has been using InPhonic to market its wireless products and services for years..... that's why I don't shop at Amazon.com any more..... they are partners with a scam operation!!

I don't know who they use, but there are no post-sale rebates when you buy from Amazon — all rebates are applied at the time of sale.

InPhonic was also doing rebates for T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint. I personally pick a cell carrier based on the coverage and cost not based on phones and rebates.Sure, but T-Mobile always had a way of making good on their promises and made up for any mistakes or problems.... it's a good company.T-Mobile and AT&T are almost identical in my area for coverage and cost. AT&T is more expensive, but they have slightly better coverage.... so it's a trade off.I personally prefer a carrier with good customer relations, that's why I'm going back to T-Mobile.

A few years ago, I picked up a Nokia 6800 directly from T-Mobile online for $50 after mail in rebate. It took about three or four phone calls to get T-Mobile to honor their own rebate.
