Why have these been removed?
Forum utility (helpfulness) has gone WAY DOWN because of this.

I'm hoping that this is only a temporary part of the transition. Having one forum for over 20 different phones will not be good.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I appreciate it.
I know this is a big change and we spent a lot of time discussing the best way to handle the wireless devices.
This move to consolidate by OS has a lot of benefits but we recognize that there's a learning curve.

I can understand the need to consolidate by OS for any platform other than Android.
1. With iOS, Windows and BlackBerry, there are usually no more than two active OS versions at a time. With Android, there are at least three (Currently Gingerbread, Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich).
2. Android is further differentiated/complicated by the addition of OEM skins (Touchwiz, Sense, MAP, etc.). This doesn't exist (to my knowledge) with the other platforms.
3. I think that there are more active Android devices at any given time than any one of the other three platforms.
Consolidating Apple into one board makes sense. Not only do most forum posters run the latest version of iOS, the design and functionality of the hardware is very similar across iPhone 3G, 3, 4S and iPad. Consolidating BlackBerry devices into one board may be OK because there is only one hardware manufacturer. Once you get into Windows Phones and Android devices, the multiple OEMs makes having only one forum more confusing.
If we have only one forum per operating system, we definitely need to ask posters to include their device in the message title.
