OK.... so I have kept my mouth shut for 115 pages of posts, but now I'm starting to loose my patience. I need a fix for my Treo 750 SD falling asleep. Why can't ATT respond to its customers in a formal way. They don't have to give dates. How about a formal, "We hear you, this is our plan, here are the challenges, here are the solutions, here is an approx release date." Seems so simple.

If it makes you feel any better(it didnt me), this was included in the middle of the rote script reading chat that I got from Palm this morning.

It was repeated 3-4 times during my rant on your very issue.

hehehehe ...... you are preaching to the choir.... you would think that is a no brainer... it certainly would hae emilinated what about 200 MB of pure text posts from their servers and saved the admins of this forum alot of grief...

the lack of official communication is the upsetting factor... not the customer service reps, not the equipment and certainly not the netwrok...

Yea, whats that about? A company like AT&T should have 24/7 Customer Service. We received my wife's new phone on friday, but couldn't do anything until saturday because by the time we got home on friday, they were closed. Then (because the upgrade was supposed to be on my line, but the phone was for her) they turned off my internet to the Blackjack. I had to call back and explain to the second person what was going on because the first person apparently didn't get it. Or maybe they just got excited that I was getting rid of my Blackjack because I'd be one less person bugging them about WM6.

Ps. I didn't even bother asking the phone reps about WM6.

Money is the main reason . The call centes are huge the one i know about was 200+ people . They pay those people pretty well . just to listen to us complain . i have noticed since the switch to att customer service has went downhill . and it seems like the call centers put me through numerous people before anyone knows whats going on . So i have lost all faith in att. No release in q3 . numerous other things that i could go on forever about . but ultimately they have us by the you know what . I hav ehad all the other top companies and att had best rate plans and data . so i sit and i wait . period

yeah belling74, I've tried everything I can think of in a chat to get them off script, but like you I always get the same response that the person has just talked to the engineer's today and then the scripted "release is in its last testing stages to be released" statement. Even the very's that I have been so hopeful about have dropped. Heck two weeks ago I even got a guy to say "personally I think it will be in a few weeks." But that type of response is no longer prevelant. I'm really starting to believe that the 750 update will be dropped, which is a pain as I'm just finishing paying off my credit card for the 750 and I'm going to have to switch over to the 8525 because I cant get stable SD card usage. Even that AT&T windows mobile comparison page no longer lists the 750 as haveing a * to get the wm6 update. What I really don't understand is that the AT&T ROM was one of the first betas released and tested, and is the last even after carrier approval to still not be released for updating. I love the Treo 750 it fits my job and lifestyle perfectly, but if I cant depend on it to keep my attachments, or any music or files of any size then its useless.

I assuming from the slowdown of posts that most folks are moving to greener pastures to get what they need. I find it amazing that a couple of guys can combine their efforts and quickly put out what the public wants, yet AT&T with their vast amounts of $$ and resources cannot. Even if the ROM needs tweaking, you would think they would put out someting to placate their customers. What if Microsoft had waited until Vista was perfect before they released it?

I am confused now. What is working? WM6 for Blackjack or Treo 750?

We should have a seperate forum for WM6 Blackjack and Treo 750... Very confusing....

As of now, AT&T is loosing a lot of customers I am sure.... empty promises which leads to loosing customers. Why blame it on PALM when all the Treo 750 for around the world, EUROPE, ASIA, the Pacific is already WM6.... Only in America. No wonder, the technology in USA for cell phone is so far behind....

Treo 750, don't count your hope up for WM6... You will be lucky if it comes out as a "christmas present". Otherwise, wait and wait and keep hearing the word "SOON, SOON, SOON"... then they are gone and there is no update.

Arrggghhhhh.....

i tested the rom a month ago and i don't think it's usable. the most important thing missing was the ability to enter numbers and symbols by holding onto keys. other than that i had some glitches with the internet and the end button which could be overseen but having to press numlock everytime i need to enter numbers was pretty frustrating. if there is a way to fix that, can somebody post it to the forum?

i am talking about blackjack btw...

I had the same problem and had to ask as well.

Click on the reply button for the person you want to quote and then look next to the smiley icon guy and you will see a quote ballon, click on that and it will add that persons quote to your post.

English Lesson:

Soon = Eventually, (i.e., the update will be available soon)

Few = more than a dozen, (i.e., the update will be released in a few weeks)

Almost = may never be (i.e., the testing is almost done)

Day = year (i.e, the update will be ready any day now)

Week = month (i.e., the update will be ready any week now)

BJ WM6 ROM will be available after 2008 once BJ II and other WM6 phones are released in the next few months.

If this is an issue to you, I suggest you contact ATT.

Prove it. Either put up, or shut up. You're the only one here claiming anything other than November - CSRs, chat, Samsung, Palm, emails...they all say differently than you, and you're pretty positive.

So, prove it. If it's speculative, say so. Otherwise, give us a source to your claims so we can independantly verify them.

Did you independently prove CSRs, chats, Samsung, Palm, and emails that said WM6 ROM will be available in June/July/August/September/October/November?

ATT is doing fine proving it themselves not for last 7 months.
