I have recently moved in from Rochester, NY to Akron, Ohio. I have a real bad reception of ATT on both of my numbers in my apartment. I am on 3rd floor of a high rise, with all open area around. I have been using my own cell phones for both lines since 1 yr without any problem in reception. I talked to ATT customer care a number of times for hrs. They tried all sought of things. Even told e that a few towers are down, will be better soon. That time never came. So now I had to buy microcell for 212 bucks. Still it did not work because my phones were not 3G. So I had to change my cell & will have to change the other cell also. The new cell also does not have a good reception without the microcell. It is all getting costlier daily. I am trying to find alternate ways to decrease the cost. What should I do, to keep ATT as my the service provider?

Unfortunately not every carrier works in every place. Wireless if funny about that....
You may be better served with another carrier? I know of places where other carriers have issues and ATT is the better choice. Chose what works best for you. You have tried just about everything to make it work.
