Changing Plans...from Voice plan to Data plan

Hi peeps,

I am planning to get the Palm centro.

All I want is unlimited data usage and text messaging. I received a promotional code today saying that I get $25 off my purchase.Ok all fine. But the code is only good for an order $39.99 and up.

But the Data plan is only $35 and I cannot add unlimited text messaging online.

So I thought I could get the 450 Rollover Minutes plan and add the unlimited messaging and later change my plan from voice plan to the data plan. Is that possible?

Reason why I want to do that is coz I want to use the promotional code which I cant when only taking the data plan (because it' not more than $39.99).

I also called up ATT today and they kept me on the phone for 40 minutes and at some point I hung up on them coz they transfered me to one person to the other which was pretty annoying.

Any ideas?

You can definatly try, but be warned there may be terms and conditions that are stipulated that you have to keep the $39.99 price point for a specified period of time or you will be penalized for breaking the requirements.
