I HATE AT&T!!!

Ok so ever since I got AT&T a couple years ago I've had pretty much nothing but trouble. Finally got fed up and switched to Cellular One today and am already much more satisfied with my service. I had a Pick Your Plan plan on AT&T and since I never talk on my phone (mainly just use it for texting and internet) had accumulated over $250 worth of rollover. It was bad enough finding out that I wouldn't get this money back when I cancel my account, but thought hey I'll just download a bunch of ringtones and bluetooth them to the new phone I got when signing up with Cellular One. Ha think again, not only will I not get that money back, but AT&T also has it where you can't transfer ringtones that you purchase from them to another phone. I'm so disgusted with AT&T and am so glad that I was finally able to switch carriers. I wouldn't reccomend AT&T to anyone even if it was the only cell phone service provider there was.

Oh and they also lie about their hours for customer service too, called last night when I was pretty sure they were closed but found out that they usually take calls from 7 AM till 10 PM so tonight I call well before 10 and after going through all of their stupid menues for 15 minutes find out that they're not open. All I wanna do is cancel my stupid account and be done with their crap but they don't even make that easy!

Sorry to hear about your problem. You COULD have asked HERE first about the ringtones before you bought them. Anyone could have told you that ringtones bought from ATT cannot be transferred to another phone since they are LOCKED to that specific phone. Hope you get your issue straightened out. Good luck!

The only thing keeping me from switching companies today is the fact that I'm a cancer/epilepsy patient. In other words, I have to wait for my disability on the 3rd to be able to switch. I have the Pantech Impact. It has a touch screen type of keypad. If it didnt have a keyboard that i can flip the phone open to, i wouldnt be able to dial or hang up or ANYTHING. I know 2 other people that had the same problem with the same kind of phone. GOD FORBID the exchange be for anther type of phone. Noooooo. I have to exchange for the same type of phone and be ready for more headaches. I know its not MY phone, just the TYPE of phone. If it hadnt been for the other 2 people then I would think it was just mine, but I know its not just mine. I had no problems getting ringtones off of free ringtone websites (No way am I gonna pay the price AT&T has on their ringtones!!) but now i cant even get the phone to accept ringtones!!! It's official! I HATE AT&T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have to jump thru 50 million hoops just to get the pathetic response that they care about their customers. That is a COMPLETE LOAD!!!! I will bet that most of the people that work for AT&T do not have them for their cell phone provider!!!! I'm not only going to switch my cell phone, but I'm also going to switch away from AT&T for my internet.

GBCC: sorry to hear about your circumstance, i sure hope you are coping well and managing your health. You dont need any stress in your life to addto it. Yep, if ATT's not the compny for you, definitely shop around to find what will be a lesser problematic account.

i hate at&t too--dropped calls--cant hear the other person-no network message constantly--bad service--just a real pain to deal with

I have to agree with the comment before mine. Staying because your husband is old fashioned is senseless. Your fault as a bad consumer. Me If At&t doesn't have LTE in my area by the time my contacts end in 2013, I'm done, and moving to Sprint out Verizon. Why do you think at&t was salivating at getting Sprint in the first place?

Contracts, that's another thing stupid spellchecker on the skyrocket(which you would think could be faster then the SII since it has that mobile before the skyrocket part of it's name? I'm not saying it's a crispy phone, because down in DC and up in NYC it rocks on LTE 4g but why has Philly and it's suburbs on both sides of the river been left out, when it's a big City?
