I have a iPhone 4 under my parents account. I've recently moved from New York to Florida, and would like to change my number so I have a Miami area code. My parents still live in New York.
Is this possible? If not, what are my other options?

It won't be possible for you to have a florida number and your family to have a new york number. An account can only have numbers from 1 market, so either all numbers have to be florida, or all have to be new york. Unless your account has a market called NBI, you would need to do a relocation for your number.
One option att will offer you is to remove your number from your parent's current account number and create a new acount number that still under your parent's name but in the florida market, they call this a relocation. But this of course means you would need an individual plan for yourself and your parents would have two separate bills.
My sister moved to tampa earlier this year and wanted a Tampa phone number. She ended up going with verizon with her husband as they do allow different markets on same account.
