I've been at AT&T customer (starting with basic phone service) continuously since 1973.
Tonight, when a customer service supervisor said, and this is a direct quote: "I'm not concerned," (which I verfied to make sure I heard him correctly) I decided enough is enough.
So, Supervisor James {personal content removed for safety}, may I say well done! You accomplished what no one else could in 39 years. You made me decide to move my business elsewhere.

at&t Mobility has been around since 2000. Yes, you are right that the RBOCs back in 1973 had great customer service, unlike today's at&t. The RBOCs specialized in local telephone service that is quite different from wireless service with nothing like 99.9999% up time of landline phone service you had.
So if you have something less than perfect service, perhaps you can talk to another supervisor. You may just get a better response.
