1. Do you have a tethering plan?
2. Are you using Windows 2000/XP, Windows Vista, or Mac OSX?

Some time in the recent past, AT&T created two classes of unlimited data plans, one with tethering, allowing you to use the cellular connection as the Internet access for a PC (DUN), and one without which doesn't. If you have an unlimited plan which predates this split, as I do, tethering is ok.

ok, yea I had it working with my Treo 650
