Does LG Cookie Kp500 ( Model KP570Q) require Data Plan

Is LG Cookie Kp500 Model Number ( KP570Q ) a smart phone. I would like to but this LG Cookie Kp 500 on ebay. I am not sure if this is a Smart phone or not. Does this phone requires a DATA PLAN . Any inputs are highlt appreciated.

Have you searched online for and answer to your question?? I've been looking but didn't come across anything yet on a website that I can read in English. It seems there is some info out there but in another language.

Does it have a full web browser?? Does it have Wifi?? I would venture to say, if it does, then you'll probably need a data plan. Or, if you decide to use it without a data plan, ATT will add the correct one for your phone when it detects what type you are using.

If the phone's market is outside the US, it is likely locked.

@ Dcookie : I did try to speak to AT&T Customer Service. Didnt hear anything from them. The AT&T Customer Care Representative me a number to the LG Company TO enquire if LG Cookie is a Smart Phone.
If it is a smart phone then the data plan is going to be added auytomatically.

Yes, I suppose that's one way to find out if it's a smartphone. I do believe that I did read the LG Cookie kp500 is a smartphone.

What is the reputation of the seller? Lot's of sellers say a phone is unlocked even though it is not necessarily fully unlocked?

As far as I can tell by going through the manual, I think it is a very nice quick messaging phone, so that you may not need a data plan. Good luck.

Interesting that they are sold unlocked. As far as I know, the phones are sold in Asia. The majority of phones sold in Asia are unlocked as I read about an Australian writer who visited China.

@ ilikewireless , Sorry i didnt get a chance to come back cay a heartful of thanks to you. I am really thankful to you. I placed the order on ebay last Monday. I will be receiving the phone this Monday, the first thing i would like to do is test the phone and will get back to you guys.

@ Dcookie , ilikewireless : Its been 2 months i am using my LG COOKIE phone with AT&T . This phone works great with AT &T in my area.

I thought to leave a feedback so that other will come to know if LG Cookie KP500 is working with AT &T.
