So I have had my LG Shine for about 4-5months. Since I got it, I've had problems charging it with it turned off. I had another Shine before and it did the same thing; it says to insert battery on both. And now, my camera has been screwy for most of the week, with green and pink colors. Not only is it the camera, but I am not getting texts from one person, it goes like that for a week then he will randomly text and work until it does it again.
It mostly does that with the one person but my cousin sent two messages once and I only got the second one. Idk whats up with it.

Well in no other words that this. the shine is the worst phone ever made. I had 2 other samsung phones and a couple of moto phones that made this thing look like an emachine.
The phone is horrible. as soon as i can afford it i am getting another one. LG won't have my business after this phone that is for sure.
I have that problem two voicemail and text messages take time to come through. it doesn't ring all the time basically i give it a 0. when it comes to power consumption i can't talk more than an hour fully charged before it is dead and needs charged again.
probably the worst phone i ever bought.

I've had the Shine for over a year, and have had NO problems. I've seen many postings salam that model on AT&T and LG boards, but my experience is OK, and I have two, mine and my wife's.
As to charging with the phone off, I find that when the battery is dead it recharges much faster if I turn the phone off. Never had a problem with this.

If you purchased your phone as new equipment, it would be MY suggestion to contact Warranty at 1-800-801-1101 and get a replacement.
I would assume you are talking about the LG Shine II. I had the original Shine and had problems with 2 of them. I did get a 3rd, and it had no problem with it. From my own experience, I would never buy another LG phone.

Photos cannot be copied to the SIM. They need to be copied from the phone to a memory card.
Your phone has a spot for a memory card. I believe it is under the battery.
