LG Xenon discontinued?

I was told yesterday in an AT&T store that the LG Xenon was discontinued and that they are no longer allowed to sell it.  Is that true?  I've been into 3 stores now and have been told each time that the LG Xenon is a bad phone and they try to sell me a Samsung Impression instead.  Is the LG Xenon really that bad?  The online reviews seem pretty positive.

Here's the skinny. If a store is out of stock of a phone, they'll try to sell you something else. They're salesmen, they have to make a paycheck like everyone else. Now, if a phone has been out of stock for a long time with no word on getting it back then a recall or discontinuation may not be far off. I personally think that LG has a LONG way to go to catch up with the Samsung touchscreens.

None of these stores were out of stock on the LG Xenon.  That's one of the things that has been confusing.  I would understand if they ran out and so they just tried to sell what they had.  They all had these phones in stock, they just did not want to sell it to me.  When I pressed one guy is when he told me the phone is discontinued and that he is no longer allowed to sell the phone. 

So I'm trying to get some more info, because none of this makes sense to me.  Is this phone really so bad that store reps don't want to have anything to do with it?  Is it really discontinued?  Or is there some other reason why 3 different store reps didn't want to sell this phone to me?

They probably just make more money off of the other phone. I just got this phone for my wife three weeks ago in a corporate store. While I was there, the rep tried really hard to get me to choose the Samsung Impression over this one, but this is the phone my wife wanted. She really likes it and has had no problems with it.

The LG Xenon is not discontinued. Not sure why they told you that. I don't think its that bad of a phone. You just talked to 3 bad store reps!

I didnt think this was that bad of a phone either, until I read all the problems people are having with screen freeze ups (possibly due to software issues) but especially cracked LCD screens within a few weeks of ownership. Thats not good.

I was comitted to getting one, but now I am very unsure.

i've had the LG Xenon since september 2009, and have dropped it countless times. it's been scratched a little bit, but it still works great. my phone has frozen up only once, and all i havd to do was drop the battery and restart it. this phone is great!!
