Obviously, these settings will only work for AT&T.

Thank you! This was a great help with my Nokia 7230 slide. Wish I had had these setting when I had the Nokia 3710, the folks at the local AT&T store couldn't figure it out, I tried but was missing some of the info.
Sidenote: Just realized I typed in WAP@CINGULAR.COM instead of WAP@CINGULARGPRS.com into my internt settings and it stilled worked.

Did you try the steps above? Do you get an error message when going through the steps?

Went through the settings and I solved the problem I was having (couldn't send or receive photo messages), but now I have a new problem. Even though I have ASK FIRST on internet connection, sometimes when I try to go to a site like google I get the E symbol on top of screen, and I know it is charging me since I don't have the data package. When I go on my email and facebook (not the one in communities) I get ask first. I can't figure out what is going on. I'm not sure I'm making sense with this question...sorry. I just want to make sure I get ASK FIRST every time I connect to a web site.

I registered with AT&T, so I could post a response to you. THANK YOU!!!! Your directions are clear, specific, and work.
I have NEVER had so much trouble with a phone. I have followed other created directions; Quit using the phone and returned to my old phone until it completely quit working; Purchased another phone and was using this Nokia again until my new phone arrives. I'll never purchase a Nokia again. I am not a hacker and do not wish to become one.
I have lost pictures and a video that I could not open. People do not want to send and resend what was intended to be a momentary joy.
Thank you again.
