Question about SIMs

would it be better to buy from AT&T, or is it ok to buy it from another website, and if so, how do I activate it? sorry, it wouldn't let me write in the regular post box, some kind of glitch. It's apparently fixed now, though.

You could buy either way. It may be cheaper from another web site. The AT&T store sells sim cards for $25. Ebay.com sells sim cards for $5. You would activate the sim card by calling AT&T customer care.

Thanks for the info. I found one website that sells one for $6.36 with free shipping. My local AT&T store is selling for $30 (not really AT&T, a co. called Cellular Xpress which has horrible service and tacks on all kinds of extra charges for everything). I was really wondering about activation.

Welcome. Then just purcahse the sim card through that web site since it is cheaper. Make sure it is an AT&T orange sim card.

AT&T's return policy has changed effective 10/07/12. You have 14 days to return the device & cxl without a ETF. Policy info HERE.
