You probably need to add an APN configuration for GoPhone. The phone comes with 4G APN pre-configured which requires a post-paid data plan on your account to connect. I have no idea what APN is for GoPhone. Search around.

Is this what I am looking for? I found this online and a number of videos on Youtube show this as the setup. I haven't tried it yet as I don't have access at home.

That's the regular 3G post-paid APN. I'm not sure if it will work for GoPhone.

this is what came up in the search but I will let you know tomorrow when I go to town and try it out. Do I need to have a plan bought for this to work or will still show the 3g / 4g connections? When I called ATT yesterday, the guy said I had to wait for some update and so he refunded my money on the data part of it.

I'd recommend that you have a real AT&T go phone first to get the Go phone plans before you switch your SR to use it. I don't think AT&T will appreciate you for using a post-paid Samrtphone on a cheaper Go phone data plan. Once you have it setup with the other phone, simply switch the SIM card and setup the APN and you're good to go.

LOL they might not like it but they should be thankful. The other options is to get the phone unlocked and go somewhere else for service. This way, I am still using ATT. I have the phone programed with the new settings and will be going to town in a few hours to try it out and see if it worked.

HI - The above parameters worked perfectly. Once into service area, my phone said I connected to 4g and I was able to use the internet.
