The sound on my Samsung Solstice II isn't working

The sound on my Samsung Solstice II isn't working. It works after I turn on and off my phone a couple times, but stops working again after a couple minutes. If anyone has any ideas please reply!

Recommend doing a factory data reset. I have found no issue regarding sound reported for this device.

How do you do a factory data reset? I also have this phone and, while I have not had any issues with it, I have had some issues with freezing with my Samsung Evergreen. Can that clear up the problem?
