It's white. Notice how the bottom of the phone is white in the front, while the back is all white. It is indeed what they would call "two-toned".

This would be cool to have, but I'm not a large fan of white phones...

Yes, you're right, but it looks like Samsung decided to keep the face of the Nexus S black. The bezel around the phone is white, as with the back. Apple did something different with white iPhone 4 to make it "truly" white.

It's still white, though...

Yes it is. And it's an iPhone, not a Nexus S. The Nexus S in the link is white on the back, around the bezel on the front. The front screen and the top of the screen is black...for some reason.

Sure, it's an iPhone. I was pointing out what a white phone should look like. Agreed, a lot of the Nexus S is white, but the screen is black. After all, that is what you're looking at when you're using the phone. What we are looking at here is a black phone with a white case (bezel). Even the article is calling it two-toned. So in reality, the subject of this thread should not be "White Nexus S." It should be "Two-Toned Nexus S."

At any rate, I think I'd prefer the black screen. It seems like that would be a little easier on the eyes. Has anyone tried a white screened phone that could comment on that?

Darn, you beat me to it. And I was going to "explain" to you that your iPhone screen is "black" as well.

And, the editor should have caught that obvious error in description. Thank god we're here to set the record straight!!

Simmer down. No-one cares if it's defined as two-toned, white, black, albino, or melanin-challenged. Does this phone interest anyone?
