i am looking to clear off my old tilt and i want to keep some of my texts, is there a program to save the texts from the phone into like a word doc, or something similar?

Have you googled 'PIM Backup,' or a similar program. You should be initially able to back up to your storage card, then transfer from there if necessary.

How about the Microsoft My Phone app? It allows you to access your saved files online, but I can't verify if that would include a way to copy/paste/save text messages.....

i want to be able to read them in a file on the computer. pim doesnt have that feature, and sms transfer doesnt seem to back up inbox txts when they are in threaded format.

For Android Device, I recommend VeryAndroid SMS Backup. It can export your android text messages to a word document file on computer.
