I'm not new to owning a phone or to a 2-year contract since I've been with all the U.S. carriers to date and the thing I've noticed is that AT&T really sits on it's hands when it comes to updates. The question is why? Do they love to lose their customers to unlocked services and pay-as-you-go phones?
I think in my heart they just hate to not have complete control over everything (to hold back updates just to sell the next flagship device).
Please someone help me from becoming a pay-as-you-go fanatic because I'm starting to hate all of the carriers.

I too would love to know the hold up. Since I am not with Verizon I can care less about what their issue is. The fact that the same exact model which is SGH-I797 is getting their update today on other carriers is making AT&T look bad. Just an answer would suffice, like we can't get our bloatware to work or we can't get our spy app properly configure, whatever the case may be.
