that is encrypted and password protected but i'm getting another person using my network. How do i get rid of them? I'm 75 and not too computer literate so please go into detail. I'm trying to connect my new tablet to my PC and he is locking me out at the present time. It can't find my IP address. I hope someone can help. Thanks.

Two ways this could happen, 1) Someone told them your wireless key or 2) you are using "WEP" encryption. "WEP" is an older standard and can be broken in just a few minutes. If this is the case you should change to WPA or WPA2 security. Pick a strong key. You will have to reenter your wireless security key on your computer too. You should be connecting to your router using a cable when you do this.

Using your browser on a PC which is connected to the RG via Ethernet cable click on this link:
You will need the system password which is visible on the side of your RG
When the screen comes up.....click on the wireless icon.
Then scroll down to "security". Make sure that it is enabled. Then make sure that it is set to WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK. If you want to change your net key code this is also the place to do it.....but for Heaven's sake write it down for future reference and put it in a safe place. Perhaps even a label applied to the side of the RG above the original. Now scroll on down to the place where you can save your changes and click on that. This is the point where you'll probably need that system password I mentioned earlier. Again...it is on the side of the RG on the same label were the network key code is displayed.
After this you will have to go through the connection procedure with all your devices in order to enter the new net key code.
Another point. I'm not sure of this but I think if you ever do a factory reset (using the reset button on the back of the RG) it will return the RG to factory default settings and you'll have to go through this procedure again. A power off reboot will not do this.
If I remember correctly this is how I made changes in my RG/wireless router settings.
Keep in mind I'm also 75 and losing memory cells on a daily basis.![]()
Good luck.

How can you JUST reset the wireless on the router with out resetting the whole system. Sometimes I loss the wireless and have to reset the whole system. I would like to JUST reset the wireless part if I can
