I just had the same problem....was without service at all for about 24 hours....for some reason the 3Gs phones are being sent out with bad sim cards.........my guess...there was probably a bad batch of sim cards that were supposed to be destroyed and not reused...and Lord knows how many went out the door....just take your phone to your nearest ATT store....and have them put in a new Sim Card......Easy Peasy )
