Bills not logging calls now---coming back 2 months later
Has anyone else noticed this problem lately....

Last month, I noticed my call minutes were low.  In the last few days, I noticed online that I'm now 200 minutes lower than I was.  I researched this.

It turns out that several calls I made from September are now on this month's call log.

I called CS and they said I made the calls off-network and they're now starting to come in on their system.

I looked at the questionable calls.  They were made on my lunch hour where work is 2 blocks away from an AT&T tower. Some calls I made were on the log, others weren't.

Of the calls that recently appeared, many were mobile to mobile calls that are now being billed to me as regular minutes.  That's very wrong and is a problem.   CS is looking into that.

I've never had this problem before.  In the past, I made my calls.  They showed up on the log that day and I paid my bill listing the correct amount of call minutes I made for the month.  The only time calls were delayed was when I was traveling and the calls showed up a couple of days later. That's expected.  These calls are showing up 30 and 40 days later!!  What's going on with AT&T's system?????

Today I was very vigilant about my calls and verified the log on my phone against the log on the web.  I made 4 calls at lunch.  Only 2 calls are now on the web list.  The longest call, 14 minutes, is not on the list.  All four calls were made from the same chair at my desk two blocks from the AT&T tower.  I find it hard to believe that I was roaming and off network on two calls and not the other two.

I'm very upset, unhappy and disillusioned with AT&T's billing system.  I never had this problem before and I feel I'm going to get hammered next month with calls that could put me over my minutes when I had the minutes this month to make those calls.

Anybody have any suggestions or insight about this??

Unfortunatley this does happen sometimes. Sounds like there may be a competing tower nearby. the only way to make sure this doesn't happen is to manually select the network on your device and ensure your are using at&t.

Re: Bills not logging calls now---coming back 2 months later
My phone only has one network to choose.  It was formerly Cellular One that converted to AT&T and the only network to choose says Cellular One.

If you tell me to go change chips or get another phone, I've got 1100 minutes a month.  If I get an AT&T phone and chip, I would only get 700 minutes for the same price.  I'd be one very UNHAPPY CAMPER with that deal.  Who would take a deal like that?
