Hi guys!! just a little update on The Doobie Brother's concert...IT WAS FANTASTIC!! The weather was prefect right up until it was time to leave my house for the concert, then a HUGE storm cloud rolled in. I thought for sure, they wiould cancel, but we took our chances and went anyway. Parking was CRAZY and I had to STALK some people who were leaving and walking to their car, just so i could get a spot.
The opening act was some guitarist, didn't catch his name, who also played with Eric Clapton. HE WAS GREAT...he played kind of blusie stuff!! I'm still trying to find out who he was.
A little ways into this outside concert, it started to drizzle, BUT, I took an umbrella with me so out it came. They opened with "Jesus is Just All Right" and played a LOT of their hits..I knew every one but I think my FAVE was "Black Water". It was such a fitting song for that time of the night since it had decided to POUR down rain. Actually, the rain felt nice and getting a little wet never hurt anyone, right? I figured that as long as the Doobies were playing, I WAS STAYING. 
Half the crowd left when the rain came down and we could have moved right up to the front, if we wanted to but we decided to stay in our DRY seats. LOL!!
Michael Mcdonald was NOT there but they didn't need him...they were AWESOME, even without him. Here's their FB page...maybe you'd like to see some pics they took. Just click on the Doobie pics.
