I set up an IPad to work with the Free Uverse app yesterday.  I had to go to channel 9301 to set up the stb to see the IPad.  After I did that the stb saw that the IPad was connected and I completed the setup instructions in the app.  The IPad logged into the app, and was even able to control the stb.  I guess we are talking about the same free Uverse app.
