HTC Titan restarts 4 no reason

From time to time my Titan shuts itself off, then restarts.  Usually I notice it when it's sitting on my desk and I have not touched it.  Anyone else see this happening?  Is this normal?  Thanx.

That should not be normal for a brand new smartphone, although it does happen with just about every smartphone out there - Samsung, Motorola, LG, even Apple. I have no idea why.

I would suggest exchanging the phone for a different one. Hopefully the next one will not have this problem.

As WB said, itis not normal, first step would be to set it back to factory defaults and see if the issue continues, how to do this shold be in the owners manual.  If it stops restarting then you know it is an 3rd party app causing the problem, then you have to figure out which one it is, you can do this by adding one at a time to see if they cause the phone then give it some time to see if it resets the phone before adding the next.

 

Sounds more like a rogue app causing the reset
