Ken5 ---I have never received texts when the phone is off on the Quickfire - no matter what phone company they are from. I had called the AT & T number and spoke with numerous tec support people. Over the different people I spoke with - we went through many different trouble-shooting activities. I even switched out the SIM card in the Quickfire and it still had the text issue. I also took the phone back to the store for a new SIM card and had one of the associates try to text me - didn't work. One tec support person claimed they called the manufacturer and was told that the Quickfire was not provisioned to received texts sent while the phone it powered off. Seems ridiculous to me - but I am at a loss of what else to do at this point. Warranty won't help me anymore. I think my only option is switching out for a different phone.
I called the AT & T number today and asked about replacing the phone...I was told the Propel is my only option - as opposed to the other 2 phones I read about in this forum. So, I will be going to the AT & T store tonight with my son to see if the Propel will work.
