Whats the difference between ordering over the phone or going to the store....an Order is an ORDER!.. I ordered over the phone as well and if this was going to be the case all att could do is inform that this will take longer than ordering in the store and I would have gone to the store and ordered!

This is really frustrating!  I ordered my iPhone 4S 16GB Blk in an AT&T corporate store on 10/17.  It came off of back order over 3 days ago!  Says it is processing but everyday I check and no change.  Now people that ordered well after me are recieving their phones and I can't even get a tracking number!  Calling AT&T CS is no help!  All they keep saying is it may take up to 28 days.  How long does it take to slap a shipping label on a box and send it out?

Yessss!! Finally, today my iphone came off of backorder . I ordered it on the 24th, in store! The lady told me I should expect a shipping # within 24 hours and the shipping rate is 3-5 days... I heard it was much quicker than this, im hoping ill get my phone by Monday! How long is it taking you all to get your shipping number after it was taken off of backorder?

You don't get a message. Go to "My AT&T" on the orange menu, then select "My Orders", select wireless, and there it should show that you phone is on backorder.

Well since you ordered in the future you're going to have to wait a few extra weeks.

I assume you meant 10/30? In that case figure 14-21 days from order date. So you've probably got at least another week unless things start picking up.

Same here, it's off back order, but no changes since then, and people who ordered on a later date are getting theirs already. Come on now AT&T, do it in the correct order, and not random!

If it says Processing in the upper right and not Backordered, then that means you're off backorder and your phone should ship any day. If that's the case then it would appear they're really accelerating

I ordered mine on the 30th too and got a comfirmation email and when you check on that it gives you a back order status. Mine is still on backorder. Dying to get my phone! Ordered online 4S white 16g

I ordered a white 16gb online too, but i did mine yesterday, looks like it's going to be a while.

The orders ARE moving along quickly now. I ordered on the premiere site on 10/29. Earlier it was still listed as "Backordered". 30 minutes later I checked again just hoping something had changed and then I saw this... The "SHIPMENT STATUS" changed from "Backordered" to "Processing"... I hope everyone receives their phones soon! 

Mine is staying the same but it never charged me. But i just did my order yesterday so i understand why it hasn't changed, but just wondering why it has not charged me.

You will be charged upon shipping. Make sure you have enough money in your account for a while.

Well all the 64's in black are on backorder still I guess. What gives AT&T what did you base your order quantities on? Less phones in more places.

The 64s don't seem to be getting out much from what I see from folks on forums. Pretty discouraging.

ordered my white 16g 4s on 10-21 in store.  came off back order on 11-3 in the early AM and took about a day and a half to recieve shipping info.  it will arrive on tues 11-8 via fed ex.  was hoping to get it before the weekend, but im happy to have an actual date for arrival.  good luck all

Just wondering. I am getting sick of waiting. I know its only been a week but I'm not into waiting forever about I'm so excited about getting!!! So annoying! They should give you $$ off!!

i have order my 16g/white on 10/19 , came out of the b/o , but no shipping details. anyone knows if they work on the weekend, or we need to wait until monday for further updates//thks

mine also came off back order since 11/2 but no shipping info yet..waiting for the tracking #..

Most of the orders that are quick seem to be the 16GB.

Has anyone ordered the 64GB black, what has your wait time been?

I ordered 10/26/11 and it came off backorder today when i checked. No shippping details yet but im very happy it came off backorder. I called att and they said yes its off backorder and i made sure to tell them that i have been reading where it comes off backorder then the next day its put back on. They said no that wont happen and she said its ready for shipment just no tracking details.
