The solution is to swtich to tiered data. They don't throttle you on tiered data.
You start with 2GB for $25, and if you go over that it's $10 per GB.
So you're welcome to use as much data as fast as you can and as much as you want to afford.
AT&T has made it clear that they don't want unlimited users to use a lot of data. If you want to stay on unlimited for whatever reason, then I'd be more selective about what I stream over 3G and make more effort to use wifi for data intensive applicaitons.
